Sunday with the Kids

Single moms are perceived to be always busy.  Busy working to provide for her family, busy with house work, busy taking care of the kids, busy with her kids' education, sports and other interests.  The list could go on and on.

If this is our definition of being busy; well, who is not?  Single moms are just like ordinary people with tasks and duties to fulfill.  Therefore, there is nothing peculiar with being a single mom and being busy at that.

We all are busy bees.  Being busy is a state of mind. There are just a lot of things to be done so getting these things done start with a plan.  Every plan is accomplished by setting priorities.  May I suggest that the priority on Sundays is to enjoy day, relaxing with your kids? After church, take them to the park and let them have fun with other kids in the playground while you either get a quick stroll or read your favorite magazine or finish reading a book.  They will be famish after this so take them to their favorite lunch spot.  After the hearty lunch, they will now feel tired and sleepy so it is time to get them home for a nap.  Now you get to choose what to do, you can either nap with them or do your housework or keep relaxing in whatever you enjoy - movies, internet, reading, etc.

So as not to run out of ideas on what to do on Sundays, ask your kids.  Make Sunday a day for your kids to look forward to.

Just because you are a single mom, doesn't mean that you are too busy to enjoy Sunday and your kids.  Sunday is always fun with the kids.  Sunday is a day of relaxation to prepare and revitalize you for the coming week.
