What have become of Single Moms?

Single moms are just wonderful human beings.  Their life is very colorful and because of this they’ve been molded and have become super human beings.

Because of the love for their children, single moms transformed into new beings even they themselves could not fathom how it happened. They’ve been reborn and at times the changes are so remarkable it is difficult to believe they had a not so nice past.  A shy lady can turn to a gusty woman like Erin Brockovich or as persevering as Helen Hunt in the movie “As Good As It Gets”.  

Because of the responsibility that single moms need to fulfill, they become creative in handling any untoward incident in their lives. Single moms tend to be strong because their kids are relaying on them.  They’ve developed the “can do” attitude. They are not only gutsy but are resourceful in everything they do.  They persevere and will always try different ways to reach their goals.  These attitudes manifest in their whole being – from their outward appearances to their emotions and mental abilities.

In fact, most single moms are far from being dull and sloppy. They’ve turned their past heartaches into challenges and moved forward to become better persons not just for their kids but for themselves. Single moms are hard-working. They know that they must put food on the table and invest for their child’s future. This drives them; this keeps them going!

Because they’ve experienced a lot of heartaches but learned to mend these broken hearts, they can become very passionate and showy of their emotions. They are unafraid to demonstrate their feelings believing that people are fragile and need human touch and love. Also because of the past hurts, they can be emphatic of the challenges of life - work pressures, taking care of kids, financial concerns, etc. Therefore single moms can be very good counselors; they are very helpful and are great motivators.

And because single moms are used to take on several roles, they are most likely to be very organized and reliable. They accomplish several things in a limited time so they become creative in the fulfilling the tasks at hand. And they make sure that everything is accomplished in the best way possible.

This in a nutshell is what has become of a single mom.  So the next time you meet or read about a strong, successful, fulfilled and happy woman; do not be surprised that she is a single mom!
