Rise and Succeed

Rise and shine; better yet, rise and succeed!

Sometimes we refuse to get up and face another day.  We feel so down and have accepted failure as our fate.  Don’t throw in the towel, you are alive and that is a blessing.  Your kids are your blessings.  Decide to succeed and you will.

Success is a choice.  It is a decision.  Rise up with boldness and conviction and you will see success face to face.

To see success face to face, you must have clearly defined goals.  With clearly defined goals you will be able to move from the past to a bright future. With clearly defined goals you will be able to channel the necessary work for the expected outcome to follow.

We are gifted with abilities and how we use these abilities will determine our success.  The difference between an achiever and a failure is not on their abilities but on their choice to succeed, on their passion to succeed.

The direction of your life changes the moment you decide what goals you want to pursue. Your goals will propel you to a new destination. Your goals can alter your life, your fate and your legacy. Your goals define who you are and who you will become.

Goals are your stepping stones to success; they are the foundations of your success. As such, it is very important to come up with the right goals. To help you come up with the right goals, let us answer the following questions:

  1. What are you most passionate about? What do you want and enjoy doing?  The reason I am asking you this question is because the road to success is not a smooth road.  Expect to encounter bumps along the way.  If your goal is something that you are passionate about, humps and bumps on the road will not deter you from your goal. No matter what hindrances you may encounter, you will not give up.  If you enjoy what you are doing, if you are happy with what you are doing, you will pursue, persevere and ultimately reach success.
  2. What are you doing right now? Examine yourself. Are your activities supporting your goals, your aspirations? Is your present career, job, business in conjunction with your goals? Answering these questions will help you make your plans in support of your goals.
  3. What are your skills?  Evaluate yourself further.  Can your skills help you to reach your goals?  If yes, can your present skills help you to reach your goals at your scheduled time? These questions will help you determine if you need to improve your skills.
  4. Who can help you reach your goals?  No man is an island.  We all need one another.  Networking is very important in reaching our goals.  Make a list of the people you believe can help you achieve your goals.  Do not hesitate to ask for help. Asking for help is not an sign of weakness; rather, it is an indication of your ability to use your network. It proves your resourcefulness skills. Keep building your network to reach more goals or increase the speed to which you achieve your goals.
Now that you have answered above questions truthfully, you can prepare a plan.  Make your plan as detailed as possible including dates or deadlines. Implement your plan.  Your plan will direct you to your goals.  Believe and you will reach your goals. Forget your past; rise and succeed!
